Prism was founded in 1998, primarily because we believed that there was a need for high quality, personalised delivery of executive meetings and events. It was that belief that drove us to strive for excellence in event management and subsequently have built strong relationships with Fortune 100 companies. Over time, our clients recognised that our disciplined approach lent itself to clinical study management, hence we developed a complimentary business of leading highly complex, post authorisation clinical studies.
Today, we have a global network of versatile, professional project managers with 10+ years experience in leading highly complex projects. A typical project leader skill set includes leading the development of the study/project design, managing geographically dispersed teams, financial management as well as third party contract development, execution and management. I have worked with Prism for years and can confirm what colleagues say: “at a Prism meeting, your feet don’t touch the ground.” Working with Prism is hassle-free for sponsors and participants: transport, accommodations, and the meeting rooms are perfect or nearly so. More importantly, all aspects of meetings are handled just as smoothly and professionally as the service suggests.
Planned materials are always at hand and unplanned ones simply appear as needed. The rooms and equipment always work because of Prism’s particular preparation. A small example: all companies have spare batteries for the microphones but I have not noticed another putting fresh batteries in every device every day. Follow-up activities such as reimbursements are handled without difficulty. Financial aspects are also handled perfectly, and not simply for meetings.
As an academic, I was the recipient of research funding managed by Prism. That relationship was also professional, efficient, precise and easy.
I first worked with Paula Blay as Prism Event Management was established in the late 1990’s as a contract research organisation on a European HIV clinical trial. We then worked together for a further 8 years from 2004 to 2012 when I was co-chair of the Oversight Committee responsible for the funding of an International HIV drug safety research programme( the Data collection on Adverse events of Anti-HIV Drugs (D:A:D study). This programme brought together Clinical Scientists from Universities and Industry, HIV Community representatives and Drug Regulators (European Medicines agency and the US Food and Drug Administration).
This was a highly complex international working environment and Paula and her team led and handled much of the work of the Committee across a variety of areas including the project and financial management, contract negotiation, event management and hospitality.
Paula and her team are superbly professional in everything they do and this international effort would not have been possible without them.
I have had the pleasure to work with Paula and her staff at Prism Event Management for the planning and execution of several multinational scientific meetings and conference calls.

I had the pleasure of working with Prism Event Management for 10 years when they provided services for Gilead Sciences. Prism helped Gilead Sciences organise a European post-approval committee that involved working collaboratively with several other pharmaceutical companies. They organised meetings (both face-to-face and teleconferences) for top executives, assigned tasks and responsibilities, and wrote agendas and meeting minutes. They also managed the associated project budgets and timelines.
Prism expertly kept a busy group of executives on-task and organised. They maintained their friendly professionalism through every issue, not matter how urgent.
